Samsung is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA in September, but rumors surrounding the phablet prior to the release have been generously regular. Adding to the kitty, the latest image leak comes from a company called MobileDirect that distributes accessories for smartphones. PhoneArena claims that this company has sent them images of the casing of the two upcoming smartphones – Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus – that reveal new design details. The camera cut out on the casing of the Galaxy Note 5 indicates that the flash will be located alongside the camera module, and not under it like the Galaxy Note 4. Apart from that, the casing of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is pretty much similar to the Galaxy S6. Earlier reports indicate, that the USB port might get shifted to the side on the Galaxy Note 5. From what we have heard so far, the Galaxy Note 5 might feature a 2K or a 4K Super AMOLED display, and is likely to be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7422 processor or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 3GB RAM. Furthermore, it will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front snapper, come bundled with a S Pen, and will pack a 3,220mAh battery.
The report again reiterates that Samsung is building a larger Galaxy S6 Edge variant – Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and will release it alongside the Galaxy Note 5. It is expected to feature a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display and a Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It is likely to offer 32GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel primary camera with OIS, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
