Samsung is today hosting the Unpacked event where it is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. A few hours ahead of the launch, the trickle of leaks is far from over. The latest leak all but confirms the existence of the microSD card slot on the dual-SIM Galaxy Note 5.
We have already come across reports suggesting that the Galaxy Note 5 will feature a microSD card slot. Instead of a separate slot though, the second SIM card slot can be used to insert a microSD card, which means it is a hybrid SIM card slot. This is has been confirmed in the above image, where the second SIM card tray also has the words microSD card along with SIM 2 marking. Samsung has used the same kind of hybrid SIM setup on the Galaxy A8 as well.
From what we have seen so far, the Galaxy Note 5 will boast a very Galaxy S6-like design with a sleek metal frame and a slightly protruding camera at the back. The S Pen at the bottom will feature a clickable button that makes it easy to take out the stylus.
As for specifications, the phablet will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD super AMOLED display, Exynos 7422 octa-core 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
Additional features expected to be included are 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 5-megapixel front camera, a battery bigger than 3,000mAh, 4G LTE support, and run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Samsung’s Unpacked event kicks off at 8:30PM IST, and here’s how you can watch it live.
