Samsung Galaxy Note 7R, where ‘R’ stands for Refurbished, has reportedly cleared Federal Communication Commission (FCC) certification. The refurbished Galaxy Note 7 has been rumored for its official launch, reviving the Galaxy Note 7 series devices once again. The company is said to launch Note 7R in June this year.According to a SamMobile report, the Note 7R which was earlier spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance certification website gave the base to rumors of alleged launch. The report also notes that three different modes named SM-N935S, SM-N935K, SM-N935L have cleared the FCC certification. This intends that these smartphone could soon be launched in Korea followed by other global markets in time to come. The SM-N935S is believed to be the SK Telecom variant of Galaxy Note 7R. It is expected to come in two variants, namely SM-N935K is expected to be FreeTel carrier and the SM-N935L could be launched on LG Uplus networks. The report also notes that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7R could house a smaller 3,200 mAh battery as compared to the 3,500 mAh battery on the previous Note 7 devices. The Galaxy Note 7R will run Android Nougat 7.0 and could be released by the end of June 2017. Per SlashGear report, the South Korean manufacturer will launch the smartphones with prices slashed. The Galaxy Note 7 was launched for 989,900 KRW (approximately Rs 56,000) and can now be priced at 700,000 KRW or Rs 39,000. To recall, Samsung had to call out a global recall of its 2016 flagship phablet Galaxy Note 7 after reports of it catching fire surfaced in significant numbers. About this year, Samsung has already launched two of its flagship devices Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ and is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 later this year.
