Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition launched: Price, specifications, features

This edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with enterprise-optimized features.

Samsung has launched an enterprise edition of the Galaxy Note 8 in the US. Called Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition, the smartphone is priced at $994 (approximately Rs 64,400), and is currently available for pre-orders through authorized Samsung channel partners in the US. The smartphone’s shipping date hasn’t been announced as yet.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition comes with “enterprise-level customization, management, support and security enhancements”. Speaking about its “business-first” features, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with Samsung Knox Configure and Samsung Enterprise Firmware Over the Air (E-FOTA). Knox Configure allows IT admins to ensure quick and smooth operations for custom mobile experiences. E-FOTA, on the other hand, helps IT administrators manage devices through a centralized OS, and software version control.

The smartphone also comes with traditional PC-class product lifestyle support services, and will receive monthly security updates for three years. Samsung is also offering an assurance purchase, which will allow one to buy the same smartphone up to two years from availability. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition specifications

Apart from enterprise-ready features, the specifications on the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition remain the same. The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition features a 6.3-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED Infinity Display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. In the photography department, the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition is equipped with a pair of 12-megapixel telephoto lens and wide-angle sensors with OIS. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel camera of f/1.7 aperture. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,300mAh battery. Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB Type-C port.
