The launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 isn t too far off anymore. Last week, we even saw Samsung sharing the invite for the phone s launch, which clearly hinted at large-sized device. How large though? Well, Forbes Gordon Kelly reveals that the Galaxy Note 8 is going to be one massive new smartphone. Kelly borrows his tip from casemaker Ghostek, who has previously revealed a bunch of Galaxy Note 8 details. In fact, now the casemaker has shared some renders of the upcoming smartphone showing off the Galaxy Note 8 in detail on all sides. If this report is to be believed, the Galaxy Note 8 is going to sport the first dual rear camera on any Samsung smartphone. Other features will include the move to USB Type-C charging, retention of the headphone jack, minimal bezels and an Infinity Display, which according to the report would be a massive 6.3-inches. However, the render also comes with a slightly disappointing news, which is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. While we all expected an under the display finger touch sensor, Samsung is apparently placing it at the back, just next to the dual camera setup. As for how trustworthy this leak is, apparently, the renders we are looking at are not some generic case but the company s Cloak series retail case. This is being prepared for launch right now. Further, it is interesting that Samsung itself also appears determined to keep leaking information about the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of the launch. Last week, a Samsung executive used the earnings call to boast that The Galaxy Note 8 will feature more advanced, richer multimedia functionalities — this despite the fact that technically Samsung had yet to confirm the phone even exists. Besides today s leaked renders, just yesterday, the Galaxy Note 8 was reported to have cleared FCC certification. Meanwhile, Samsung also put up a pre-registration page on its Australia website for the Galaxy Note 8. However, the page doesn t allow you to register for the upcoming handset, nor does it reveal anything about the Galaxy Note 8 except for its tag line Do bigger things.
While there have been plenty of leaks surrounding the upcoming phablet, nothing is more believable than information coming from the horse s mouth. Samsung s media invite gives away a few key details about the phablet. The said invite, hints at narrow top and bottom bezels with no side edges, clearly indicating the Galaxy Note 8 will retain the same 2:1 Infinity Display, which was introduced the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ launched earlier this year.
