Samsung has officially slashed the price of the Galaxy Note 8 by Rs 12,000. The phablet, which originally launched at a price of Rs 67,900 last year, is now available for Rs 55,900. The new price is effective on both Amazon.in and Samsung India s online store. To make things even better, Samsung is offering an extra Rs 4,000 cashback to HDFC credit card holders.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is powered by an Exynos 8895 SoC (Variants sold in USA and China are powered by Snapdragon 835), paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also accepts microSD cards of up to 256GB. It has a 6.3-inch QuadHD+ Infinity Display of 1440×2960 pixels resolution, complete with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio a pixel density of 521ppi.
For imaging, the Galaxy Note 8 has a dual-camera system at the back, comprised of 12-megapixel sensors. There s also an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter with auto-HDR functionality. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, with an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo available. All standard connectivity options are on-board, and so is the S-Pen, the Note line-up s defining feature. The whole package is backed by a 3,300mAh battery, with both fast-charging and wireless charging support.
