Samsung seems to be working on the beta program for the much anticipated Android 9 Pie update for its flagship devices. As previously reported, the company may launch the public beta program for the flagship devices in the next week. The new update is likely to come with a redesigned Samsung Experience UI. However, in addition to the refreshed software experience, new software is also known to spill beans about the upcoming devices from the company. This is not limited to Samsung as important hardware redesigns have been spotted in the software before their official launch. According to a tweet by Samsung contributor for XDADevelopers, Max Weinbach, the latest beta version of Android 9 Pie for Galaxy Note 9 has hinted at the design for the future Galaxy S10. The hint seems to be present in the Night theme section in the settings app. The section shows a wire-frame graphic of a device with near edge-to-edge display and no bezels. It is likely that the wire-frame denotes the design of the Samsung Galaxy S10. Weinbach emphasized on the graphic stating that it is not the first time where the beta software from Samsung hinted at a future design. He recalled that the Android Nougat Beta in Galaxy S7 similarly showed off the design of the Galaxy S8, while Android Oreo Beta in Galaxy S8 showed off the design of the Galaxy S9. Considering this, it is almost a trend for Samsung to aim the software for future devices in terms of graphics.
The graphics mean that the Galaxy S10 will not come with a bezel on the top and instead, it may come with an under the display camera on the front. It also indicates a radical redesign to the device which means that the device is likely to sport technologies such as the under display fingerprint scanner.
