The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 goes on sale today in India, and will be available to purchase through all official Samsung channels, including online, through mobile operators, as well as through Samsung‘s extensive offline networks of dealers and exclusive stores in the country. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is priced at Rs 67,900 for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant and Rs 84,900 for the 8GB RAM / 512GB storage option.

The new flagship phone from Samsung is now showing as ‘in stock’ on online retail channels, including Flipkart and the Samsung online store. Apart from this, you can also walk into your nearest Samsung showroom or any official retailer for Samsung in your neighborhood, apart from multi-brand retail superstores which also have the device on sale, and pick it up today.

If you’re buying the phone online, there are a handful of launch offers, including Rs 6,000 cash back on HDFC cards, Rs 6,000 additional exchange bonus on select smartphones, no-cost EMI offers and more. Some of these offers will also be available offline, and there is a full range of accessories you can buy with the phone including protective covers, audio gear and more.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specifications and features

The Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display (1440x2960pixels) resolution, and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. With Exynos 9810 octa-core SoC at heart, the smartphone is paired with 6GB/8GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage. A microSD card slot with support for up to 512GB is also present for further expansion, offering you to have up to 1TB space on your phone.

The cameras see an upgrade compared to the Galaxy Note 8. You now get the primary 12-megapixel camera with dual-aperture lens (f/1.5 – f/2.4), and the secondary sensor is also of 12-megapixel resolution, with a telephoto lens to enable 2X lossless optical zoom, and portrait mode for DSLR-like bokeh effects. The Galaxy Note 9 also comes with the ability to capture slow-motion videos at 960fps in HD resolution. Up front is an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus for selfies and video calling.

The highlight of the Note-series is the S Pen stylus, and Samsung has given it the biggest upgrade so far. It is now Bluetooth enabled, allowing you to use the S Pen as a remote shutter for camera, play pause songs, skip tracks and more.

In terms of connectivity, you get dual-SIM card support, 4G VoLTE for HD voice calling, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Samsung has also included Apple iPhone X-like 3D facial recognition technology and an Animoji-like feature called AR Emoji. In the software department, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Samsung’s custom UI on top.
