According to a new report, authorities in US have charged an Apple ex-employee for stealing trade secrets related to Apple s self-driving car project widely known as Project Titan. The ex-employee Xiaolang Zhang had plans to trade the secrets to a self-driving startup in China called Xiaopeng Motors . He also had plans to flee to China and go work for the company. Zhang was almost successful with his plans, but was arrested by the FBI after passing the security checkpoint at the airport. Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Tab S4 and Gear S4 reports and leaks
There has been plenty of buzz around the Galaxy Note 9. Now, an official render of the smartphone has surfaced online, giving us a clearer look at the front panel of the Galaxy Note 9, which looks a lot like its predecessor. The only notable difference is a slimmer bottom chin. Samsung is likely to feature the same design with Galaxy Note 9, as it did the same with the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S8 as well.
Besides that, a leaked render image of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S4 has also been spotted. The image showcases a white color tablet and also suggests that it will come with an optional keyboard as well. The news was leaked by Evan Blass, who s known to have a good track record with rumors. The device is expected to come with a 10.5-inch display, with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Note 9.
Another recent report suggests that the new Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch will be called Galaxy Watch and will ditch the Tizen OS in favor of Wear OS. It is also expected to come with Bixby voice assistant support.
Facebook fined for Cambridge Analytica scandal
Facebook has finally been fined $664,000 (approximately Rs 4.57 crore) for the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The news was announced by UK watchdog Information Commissioner s Office. The UK watchdog says Facebook overlooked critical warning signs that could have helped prevent Cambridge Analytica from harvesting data of millions of people. It is one of the first fines to be imposed on Facebook for its security mishap.
Besides that, the UK watchdog is also weighing potential penalties against Kogan as well as Alexander Nix, the former CEO of Cambridge Analytica. Cambridge Analytica s parent company, SCL is facing criminal prosecutions in the UK.
New WhatsApp feature is preventing the spread of false news
Starting today, WhatsApp will start indicating which messages you have received have been forwarded to you. The feature is introduced to prevent users from spreading misinformation on the platform, a criticism WhatsApp has drawn in the last few months. From now messages will come with a Forwarded label, which will let the user know whether it has originally been written by a friend or relative, or has simply been forwarded from a different source. WhatsApp users will need to have the latest supported version on their phone to get access to the new feature.
BSNL Rs 444 prepaid plan now offers 6GB daily data
In order to compete better with Reliance Jio s Double Dhamaka offer, BSNL has increased the daily data limit for its Rs 444 plan from 4GB to 6GB. However, it only offers 3G speeds and promises to reduce speeds to 60Kbps after completing the FUP limit. The plan comes with 60 days validity and unlimited calls to BSNL numbers. BSNL is also offering 2GB extra data on Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666 and Rs 999 plans.

Fortnite for Android teased to release later this month
Tencent Games has been teasing to release Fortnite for Android for a while. But now it seems that we might have a solid date for it as well. In a recent tweet, Tencent Games teased about the launch of the Android version of the game. The tweet states Fortnite wow! It s coming, along with an image that showcases July 24. But is also highly likely that it could release in China first before coming to the global market.
