We are a couple of days away from the launch of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note 9 in India. The company is hosting a big launch event on August 22 at 12:00PM IST, and it will also be live streamed through its official website as well as YouTube channel. Samsung unveiled the flagship Galaxy Note 9 at a global event in New York on August 9, and thereafter the company revealed pricing for India, and started taking pre-orders as well.

Buyers will be able to choose from two variants. The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 67,900. The top-end model with 512GB storage and 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 84,900. Last year, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was launched with same prices starting from Rs 67,990.
Samsung is already taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 9 in India. If you pre-book a Galaxy Note 9, you get the chance to buy a Gear Sport smartwatch for Rs 4,999 (retail price Rs 22,990). Pre-bookings will go on till August 21, and Amazon India has revealed that it will be start shipping the smartphone from August 23.
In addition to the special benefit with the Gear Sport smartwatch for Rs 4,999, Samsung has also tied up with Paytm Mall offering a cashback of Rs 6,000 to buyers. If you use a HDFC Bank debit or credit card, you will be entitled to a cashback of Rs 6,000.
Samsung has also announced the Samsung Upgrade Program, which offers an upgrade bonus of Rs 6,000 if you exchange your old smartphone for the new Galaxy Note 9, over and above the exchange value of your old smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to go on sale from August 23 in India. It will be available across retail and online stores. Buyers will also be able to take advantage of a bunch of launch date offers.

Samsung may not have brought many changes on the design front, but there are plenty under the hood. The Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood is an Exynos 9810 SoC. For photography, the device comes with a dual-camera setup at the back that includes two 12-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper.

For security there’s a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and there’s also face unlock feature. A microSD card slot is present for expanding internal memory. Other features include a heart-rate monitor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The S Pen has again been improved this year, and now comes with Bluetooth support.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. In the software department, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top.
