Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is easily one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2018. With the smartphone speculated to launch around September, leaks have hinted at the expected features and specifications. Now a sketched image of the smartphone’s case hints at the Galaxy Note 9 possibly featuring a fifth physical button on the side.

The image (courtesy of @UniverseIce) of the case clearly shows open spaces for five buttons. While the four of them are accounted for (standby, volume keys, and Bixby button), the fifth is speculated to be a secondary shutter button for the camera. It’s also positioned way below the standby button, which further confirms the theory. In the past, we’ve seen phones feature a physical shutter button, so finding it back again on the Note 9, wouldn’t be a big surprise.

Having a physical button might also be the next viable step, considering Samsung’s increased focus on the camera performance of its flagships smartphone. In fact, the variable aperture lens and the super slow-motion video recording were one of biggest highlights of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+. Rumors have suggested the Galaxy Note 9 to feature a much better camera that will outperform both the other flagships.

Besides the additional button on the side, the image of the case hints at a pretty similar design to its predecessor, something that we also got to see through leaked render images of the smartphone recently. Adding to that, the image also confirms the presence of a fingerprint sensor at the back, putting rest to rumors about the Galaxy Note 9 featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor.
