Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the next flagship smartphone from the South Korean company, will be launched globally on August 9. While we have heard reports of its specifications, minor design and improvement to camera features, a new leak reveals small but critical piece of information. A Polish website has published the price and release date of Galaxy Note 9. The report cites a Samsung employee who attended a pre-briefing as the source for this information. The report adds that a Samsung spokesperson mentioned a price of PLN 4,299 (around Rs 79,500/$1,158) for the base model with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The pricing suggests the Galaxy Note 9 will start at the same price as its predecessor. The report also states that the device will hit the Polish market on August 24, and pre-orders are said to start on the same day as the launch August 9. The pricing has also been confirmed by a local store suggesting this price could be accurate for the European market.
Alongside these leaked details of Galaxy Note 9’s price in the Polish market, the smartphone has also stopped by TENAA for certification. It has also leaked in the form of renders revealing the design will be similar to its predecessor. It will feature horizontally stacked dual rear camera system while the fingerprint sensor will be placed below the camera module.
One of the big changes this year is expected to come in the form of Bluetooth-enabled S Pen. The S Pen is expected to support music playback and other remote functionalities. In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature a larger 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display. It will be powered by Snapdragon 845 in the US and China, while rest of the world will get an Exynos-powered variant.

The Galaxy Note 9 will start with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, but the premium model will come with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. The smartphone will feature dual rear camera system with the primary lens offering variable aperture similar to Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. The smartphone is also expected to pack a larger 4,000mAh battery this time.
