The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is undoubtedly one of the best Android smartphones out there right now. And it comes with a premium price tag of Rs 67,900 for the base variant with 128GB and Rs 84,900 for the top-end variant with 512GB of storage. With the cash back, the effective price of the Galaxy Note 9 128GB variant comes down to Rs 61,900, whereas the 512GB variant comes to Rs 78,900. So, when you buy the Galaxy Note 9 from Flipkart or Amazon India using HDFC Bank credit or debit card, you will be eligible to get Rs 6,000 cash back, which will be credited by December 31 2018. Similarly, on Paytm Mall, you will be eligible to get cash back of Rs 6,000 when you use the coupon code “NOTE9” before checkout. Up front, the Galaxy Note 9 comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Powered by an Exynos 9810 SoC, it is paired with 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB / 512GB storage. A microSD card slot with support for up to 512GB is also present for further expansion, offering you to have up to 1TB space on your phone.
For shutterbugs, there is a dual camera module at the back – a primary 12-megapixel sensor with dual-aperture lens (f/1.5 – f/2.4), and a secondary sensor of 12-megapixel resolution, with a telephoto lens to enable 2X lossless optical zoom, and portrait mode for DSLR-like bokeh effects. The Galaxy Note 9 also comes with the ability to capture slow-motion videos at 960fps for up to 4 seconds in HD resolution. Up front is an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus for selfies and video calling.
S Pen stylus, which is the heart and soul of the Note-series gets an upgrade. Samsung added Bluetooth support, allowing you to use the S Pen as a remote shutter for camera, play pause songs, skip tracks and more.
On the connectivity front, you get dual-SIM card support, 4G VoLTE for HD voice calling, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Samsung has also included Apple iPhone X-like 3D facial recognition technology and an Animoji-like feature called AR Emoji. In the software department, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Samsung’s custom UI on top.
Besides these, the smartphone also includes Samsung Pay for cashless payments, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio, and a heart-rate sensor.
