Samsung is planning to launch its upcoming flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the Unpacked event scheduled for August 9. As the official launch date approaches, the number of rumors and leaks about the Note 9 have started gathering pace on the Internet. According to a recent report by SamMobile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was spotted on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench with the model number SM-N960F. This is not the first time that we have seen the Galaxy Note 9 on Geekbench as a device with model number SM-N960U was first spotted months back. According to the report, this model comes with Snapdragon 845 SoC and it is meant to launch in the United States of America. The second model with number SM-N960N which is designated to be launched in South Korea was spotted on the website. SM-N960N was the first device to indicate that Samsung will put Exynos 9810 SoC in the Galaxy Note 9. The report pointed out that the Unlocked Note 9 with Exynos 9810 SoC scored 3716 on the single-core test and 8984 on the multi-core test in comparison to the single-core score of 2737 and multi-core test of 9064 by the model meant for South Korea. The scores by the Unlocked Note 9 indicate that Samsung has put in some work to optimize the software as compared to the scores recorded weeks back. A report by GSMArena also revealed the scores of Galaxy Note 9 with 8GB RAM. This variant of the device scored 5162 in the single-core test and 10704 in the multi-core test.
The latest listing also indicated that the device will run on 6GB RAM while sporting Android 8.1 Oreo-based operating system. One thing to note here is that benchmark scores don t provide the entire picture of how the device will perform in the real world so it is likely that Note 9 will perform better than what these scores indicate.
