When Samsung released the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone — the phone with curved display — it noted that it is a “limited edition concept” device and won’t be available across all regions. SamMobile however now reports that Samsung is set to launch the smartphone in as many as 22 countries including India. The publication notes that the Galaxy Note Edge will see its official launch in 22 more countries, which are — Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Nepal, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The report also claims that different models — SM-N915F, SM-N915FY and SM-N915G will be launched in different markets. India is said to receive the SM-N915G variant. While the time frame of the phone’s release in India is yet to be known, rumors claim that Samsung is planning for a launch before the end of this year. To recap on the specifications, the Galaxy Note Edge flaunts a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display, but with QHD+ resolution, which adds an extra 160 pixels on the third side of the display. It is powered by a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor or an Exynos 5433 octa-core processor (1.9GHz quad-core+1.3GHz quad-core), depending upon the region.
The phablet also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat wrapped under TouchWiz UI.
