Despite being just a few hours away from the global launch, Samsung Galaxy Note7 leaks are showing no signs of slowing down. Just this morning, we came across the first set of photos showing the retail packaging of the upcoming phablet. Another couple of photos have now surfaced online, courtesy of Dutch website Techtastic, which show the retail box of the Galaxy Note7. The leaked photos show the front and back of the retail box, which confirm the branding of the Galaxy Note7 as well as certain specifications and features. Based on what we see on the box, the Galaxy Note7 isn’t a huge upgrade over last year’s Galaxy Note 5 as far as specifications and features are concerned. For one, where Chinese companies are fast opting for 6GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note7 will retain the 4GB of RAM from last year’s phablet.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 specifications
Some of the other specifications confirmed by the retail box are in line with what has been reported multiple times before. The Galaxy Note7 flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED dual-edged curved display, and it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor (mostly the Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820).
In line with previous leaks, the Galaxy Note7 will offer 64GB onboard storage, which will be expandable using a microSD card. On the photography front, it will be equipped with a combination of 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel selfie cameras. This is the same combination that is on offer on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 features
The retail box also confirms that the phablet will be IP68 certified making it resistant to water and dust. It will also be bundled with an improved S Pen stylus, and users will also be offered 5GB of free ‘Samsung Cloud’ storage. For security, the device will have a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button up front, as well as an iris scanner.
Samsung galaxy Note7 design
The photos leaked earlier this morning gave us a close look at the Galaxy Note7. The overall look is in line with earlier leaks and the overall design is quite boxy. It will be available in multiple colors, but the most appealing is the blue variant that has a nice gold bezel.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 price
As per recent reports, the Galaxy Note7 could cost somewhere around 850 Euros in France, which is approximately Rs 63,000. In other words, it will be almost Rs 10,000 dearer than the official launch price of Galaxy Note 5 in India. Speaking of India, reports claim that Samsung plans on launching the Galaxy Note7 in India as early as next week on August 11.
