Samsung had launched its Galaxy On7 smartphone in November last year. The company has been long rumored to be working on the successor to the smartphone, dubbed the Galaxy On7 (2016). Now, the Galaxy On7 (2016) has been spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website, which reveals key specifications of the smartphone. According to the benchmarking website, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) will come with a 4.8-inch Full HD AMOLED screen. The smartphone will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The On7 (2016) will come with 16GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the smartphone is likely to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Galaxy On7 (2016) will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. As far as the pricing goes, the Galaxy On7 (2016) is said to be a mid-range smartphone with price between $150-$200, which is approximately Rs 10,100-Rs 13,400. The Galaxy On7 (2016) is rumored to launch late next month or in mid-August.
If the details on the GFXBench site are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) will be a major upgrade over the last year’s Galaxy On7. The On7 features a 720p HD screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz Exynos 3475 processor. It offers 1.5GB RAM with 8GB of internal storage.
Samsung had a successful run with the On7 and On5 budget smartphones that were exclusively available via Flipkart. According to a Flipkart report, the Galaxy On7 was one of the most sought after smartphone on its platform in 2015.
