The new Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) headed towards India is said to be powered by an Exynos processor and boasts a fingerprint scanner. The leaks also suggest that it is quite an upgrade over its predecessor.


Towards the end of last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones in India, and followed them with the Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro last month. Samsung however seems to be far from done with this series, and is rumored to be soon launching the Galaxy On7 (2016). The smartphone has been spotted on a benchmarking website that reveals some of its key specs and features. Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) could launch in India with exynos processor.
Last month, the rumored Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) was spotted online powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor. But the variant spotted on GFXBench is powered an Exynos 7870 chipset. As per SamMobile, the Snapdragon variant is headed towards China, while the Exynos-powered variant will soon be launched in India. Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) specifications

Based on what we have come across so far, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) is expected to feature 4.8-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, which is a tad surprising when you consider the previous models featured a 5.5-inch display. The listing also suggests that the Galaxy On7 (2016) will also boast a fingerprint scanner. This is a feature that was missing on the previous Samsung Galaxy On-series smartphones. Recently, the company had launched the Galaxy J2 (2016), which features a Smart Glow feature. This features of a LED ring surrounding the rear camera, which lights up to alert users of incoming calls, messages or other notifications.

Based on the leaks, the Galaxy On7 (2016) seems to be quite an upgrade over its predecessor — Samsung Galaxy On7. The smartphone was launched with a 5.5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. It was also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, and 4G LTE support.
