Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone along with a new Gear smartwatch on August 9. And while the next Galaxy S-series flagship launch is still more than 6 months away, the rumor mill can t stop buzzing. According to a new report on The Bell, the Galaxy S10+ model will feature a dual camera setup on the front. However, there is no word on the resolution, or what those cameras will do. Most likely, the secondary camera will be for clicking wide-angle photos, or will be a dedicated depth sensor to add bokeh effects. The Galaxy S10+ is also rumored to come with a triple camera setup at the back, just like the Huawei P20 Pro. The third sensor could have 16-megapixel resolution with f/1.9 aperture, and could feature a super wide-angle lens with field of view of 123-degrees. It will help users to capture more scene in a photo. The primary camera is expected to be the 12-megapixel dual aperture lens, and there is no word on the second sensor.
The Galaxy S10, on the other hand, is also expected to come with a triple camera setup at the back, but could only have a single camera on the front. Lastly, there is also the third, affordable variant of the Galaxy S10, which is rumored to come with a single front camera and dual rear cameras.
As this information isn t shared by Samsung, take this with a pinch of salt. The Galaxy S10-series is expected to be unveiled early next year, either at CES or MWC. As the launch draws closer, we expect more details to pour in.
