It seems Samsung is not done milking its flagship device, the Galaxy S4. From reports we know the South Korean company is about to spew out quite a few Galaxy S4 variants that include the likes of the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom and now it seems there is a new variant under development that is powered by an Intel processor, Engadget reports.
According to the report during Intel’s mobile keynote at Computex, a presentation slide is what caught the gathered crowd by surprise. Besides listing the forthcoming devices powered by Intel SoCs, including the expected Galaxy Tab 3, there was also the Galaxy S4 featured which was the least expected.
Reportedly, the Galaxy S4 with the Intel chipset will also have LTE on-board which is a big plus and should be arriving later this year or early next year.
Update: After publishing this story, Engadget got a confirmation that the reason the Galaxy S4 was listed on the slide is because it uses a 3G radio developed by Intel.
