In terms of pricing, recent reports on Korean websites have suggested that Samsung would keep the launch price of the Galaxy S5 lower than the launch price of the Galaxy S4 in Korea. However, considering the weak Indian Rupee, Samsung might have to launch it at a slightly higher price point than the Galaxy S4, which was launched for Rs 41,500 last year.
Though uncertain, Samsung is also likely to announce the Gear 2 and Gear Fit wearable devices on the same day in India.
The Galaxy S5 features with a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It sports a 16-megapixel primary camera and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The phone also boasts a fingerprint and heart rate sensor. The smartphone is also water and dust resistant.
