When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 at its Unpacked event, the company also showcased new features that comes as a part of the refreshed TouchWiz UI. SamMobile reports that Samsung has started rolling out a firmware update that brings these new features to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The new and improved TouchWiz UI includes new icons and overall improvements to the interface. Similar to the People’s Edge feature, the new firmware also has Apps Edge feature. It allows users to pin 5 predefined apps, which can be quickly accessed with a simple swipe on the edge (only for Galaxy S6 Edge). Other features such as Samsung Pay, UHQ upscaler, YouTube Broadcasting in camera app and minor updates to Samsung KNOX are also present in the update. Samsung has also added Vacuum Tube Amp Pro, the audio-enhancing software feature to produce better audio quality when listening to music or watching videos. However, this update does not bring ability to save RAW images and shutter speed control, as seen in Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. The software with firmware number G925SKSU2COH7 (Galaxy S6 Edge) and G920SKSU2COH7 (Galaxy S6) has already started rolling out in Korea. However, there is no word on when the software update will be available to download in India.
