The photos were posted on China s microblogging site Weibo, and even though they are blurry, the S7 Edge looks awesome in black color. From what we already know, the edge variant will be available in golden, black and silver color options. Also, unlike last year s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the curved display now flows more naturally with the design. However, the display seems to be a fingerprint magnet, which might be a bummer for some. Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge specifications and features: Samsung s upcoming Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are likely to flaunt a 5.1-inch and a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED QHD display. They could either be powered by a Snapdragon 820 or an Exynos 8890 chipset, which would purely be market dependent. With 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage options, a microSD card slot is also expected.
While the Galaxy S6-family was equipped with a 16-megapxixel camera, the Galaxy S7-family could sport a new 12-megapixel rear camera with recently patented BRITECELL technology, which Samsung claims to offer better low-light capabilities. For selfies and video calling, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera could also be present. In terms of connectivity, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, NFC and Bluetooth are expected.
With battery life being a major concern, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants are likely to come equipped with battery capacity batteries of 3,000mAh and 3,600mAh, respectively. Along with wireless charging and Quick Charge feature, Apple s 3D Touch like pressure sensitive display, both smartphones could run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung s TouchWiz UI atop.
