Samsung has reportedly slashed the price for the 6GB RAM variant of its Galaxy S8+ smartphone. The high-end variant of the premium smartphone was announced last month in India for a price of Rs 74,990. According to a Mumbai-based retailer, now the smartphone is said to have got a Rs 4,000 price cut. Earlier the South-Korean company only announced the Galaxy S8 and the S8+ smartphones with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage priced at Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900, respectively. As per the officially announced prices, the 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S8+ costs Rs 10,000 more than the 4GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S8+. Samsung Galaxy S8+ Features and specifications
The Galaxy S8+ has 6.2-inch QHD Infinity display. The smartphone ships in India with Exynos 895 chipset while there is also another variant available in other markets with Snapdragon 835 SoC. It offers no storage expansion and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 based new Samsung UX. The Galaxy S8+ features Bixby digital assistant on board, said to get voice support later. In terms of optics, the Galaxy S8+ has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone houses a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS.
