Samsung has also done away with the physical home button. The button is now embedded below the display, while the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back alongside the cameras.
Samsung s much-touted voice assistant Bixby is another major USP of the Galaxy S8-series. The in-house developed assistant is only available in Korea and the US, but even the US release has been pushed back given Bixby s familiarity with English. Samsung aims to give tough competition to Apple s Siri and Google Assistant with its own Bixby. With Bixby, Samsung aims to connect across devices, apps and open up new experiences to simplify life further.
Apart from that, both smartphones feature a heart-rate sensor placed beside the rear camera. The smartphones also come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+: here s why pricing is key to success even for premium smartphones
