The highly anticipated release of Samsung s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, is still a couple of months away, but it has already piled with stacks of high expectations. Much of this is due to the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Now, since the expectation are so high, everyone is constantly curious to know more about the next that Samsung has in store for its customers. While there have been tons of speculation about the smartphone s specification and features, the design has started to come to light only recently. A couple of leaked renders have already shed some light on the expected design of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Now, the latest leak is an alleged, real-life photo of the Galaxy S8 case. Despite the claims of the case makers, until the word comes out of the house s mouth, it would not be wise to entirely believe these leaks. Another reason being, many smartphone case manufacturers make cases for devices even before they are launched and enter the market. Most of the times, these case makers manufacture them in advance based on the most popular leaks in the market or on the basis on the information provided by their own leakster. Essentially, we d recommend taking this leak with a pinch of salt. Also Read - Samsung Galaxy M32 launch in India next week: Top specs, price around Rs 15,000, more
As we can see, the case does not appear to cater for a dual camera setup. Also, it’s worth noting that all the hardware buttons, that is the power and volume, are all on the phone’s left edge, none on the right. This falls in line with some other recently leaked images of Galaxy S8 cases, which also showed all the physical button placed on the left edge.
On to the openings on the bottom edge of the device s case, we can spot a small circular cavity for a 3.5 mm audio jack. The headphone port has been placed in the same spot as on older devices. Now, previous leaks have been quite contradictory as well, while some suggested that Samsung would also make the courageous move to drop the headphone jack, others have reported that the Galaxy S8 would retain the port. On to the right side of the bottom edge, we can see a long narrow slit, which can be believed to be for the USB Type-C port, however, it s slightly confusing because there is a similar slit on the case placed on the top edge. Presumably, the slit on the lower edge could also be for stereo speakers and the top edge could be for the SIM and MicroSD card tray, since we saw no cutout for that anywhere else on the case.
Then there is also a small square-ish opening sitting right next to the speculated headphone jack cutout. Now, if the formerly discussed narrow long slit is actually the speakers, then this little square cutout could be the charging port.
This is all quite confusing for now, and we can only wait for the final unveiling by Samsung to be sure, or maybe just wait for a few more leaks to come our way for a better idea. Follow this space to stay posted.
