We have been coming across so many leaks related to the upcoming Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, there’s hardly any aspect about the device that has been left untouched by the rumors. Which means, if we trust the renders and rumors, we have a fair idea what the device would look like. However, what’s happened now is quite interesting. A company in China has produced a knock-off of the Galaxy S9! Though we still don’t know what the Galaxy S9 would officially look like, this Chinese knock off looks identical to what we expect from the Samsung smartphone. However, unlike the vertically mounted single-lens camera and fingerprint scanner that we have seen at the rear of Galaxy S9, this clone features a dual-camera setup on back, similar to what we are expecting to find at the back of the Galaxy S9+. First reported by AndroidGuys, the Chinese clone is made by the Vkworld. And what really gets thing confusing is the misleading model name – S9. Reportedly, the smartphone will be priced much lower than the Galaxy S9, and will yet be fuelled by a much larger 5,000mAh battery. It also copies the real Galaxy S9’s thin bezels and the 18:9 aspect ratio. Also Read - Samsung Galaxy A03 with 48MP camera, 5,000mAh battery announced

The Vkworld S9’s 5.99-inch display has a 2K resolution and it runs MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core SoC under the hood, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. From what the reports suggest, the Galaxy S9-clone is expected to launch next spring, and be priced at $300.

As opposed to the clone, from what we have known so far, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ could sport 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED “Infinity Display” respectively. Under the hood, both smartphones are likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC or Exynos 9810 SoC, which will be market dependent.

Rumors also hint that while the Galaxy S9 could feature 4GB of RAM, the Galaxy S9+ could include 6GB of RAM. Also, both smartphones are likely to retain water and dust resistance capabilities, 3.5mm audio jack, and wireless charging features. On the software front, both smartphones are likely to run Android 8.0 Oreo wrapped under Samsung’s custom UI.
