The September 2018 security patch is currently available in many European markets and should be available in other regions soon. Since it s a phased rollout, the OTA update may take a while to reach all Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ units in the wild.

Samsung seems to be on an update spree these days. The company recently started seeding Android Oreo update to a Galaxy J5 Prime, a mid-range smartphone it launched around two years back.

According to The Android Soul, Galaxy J5 Prime units in UAE are being seeded the update. The OTA update package, which is around 918MB in size, bears software identifier G570FXXU1CRH9. As is always the case, the rollout is phased, so it may take a while for Galaxy J5 Prime units around the world (including those in India) to get it.
