Rumors previously hinted that the Galaxy S9 will launch at CES 2018. It turns out, LG s G7 will also be unveiled at the show. To recap on the leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to launch with Android 8.0 Oreo and might be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. There might also be an 18:9 ratio and the Infinity Edge display. Sadly, we haven t heard much about the LG G7 just yet. Reliance Jio extends triple cashback offer
Reliance Jio is extending the validity of its recently announced triple cashback offer. The offer, which is exclusive to Jio Prime subscribers was scheduled to end on November 25 is now available until December 15.
Users will be able to get triple cashback of up to Rs 2,599 on recharging their Jio connection with recharge plans of Rs 399 and above. It also includes cash back from Amazon Pay, Paytm, MobiKwik, PhonePe and vouchers from shopping from Jio partner online stores.
Honor V10 launched
Honor launched the V10 smartphone in China today. The highlight of the smartphone includes the dual rear camera setup and a bezel-less 5.99-inch ‘FullView’ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Huawei s custom octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. The smartphone comes in two variants – 64GB internal storage with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage with 6GB of RAM. It can be expandable up to 256 GB across all variants. There is a combination of 16-megapixel color and 20-megapixel monochrome sensor at the back. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie snapper. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Huawei s EMUI 8.0.
A new Ericsson report says that by 2023 more than one billion 5G subscriptions will be in use, with more than 20 percent of the global population set to be covered within the next six years. The Ericsson Mobility Report suggests that mobile data traffic is expected to increase eightfold over the same period, reaching 110 Exabytes. The report also revealed that LTE technology will continue to play a huge role through 2023, with the vast majority of mobile internet connections being made over LTE networks.
Paytm Payments Bank inaugurated
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley inaugurated Paytm Payments Bank at an event in Delhi today. Starting today, Paytm Payments Bank will see a formal roll out. Paytm Payments Bank is India s mobile-first bank with zero charges on all online transactions and no minimum balance requirement. Paytm further also said that they further aim to invest $500 million in KYC (Know Your Customer) operations. The company plans to set up KYC centers across India.
