Samsung is rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for its two-year-old tablet, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7. The tablet has already been spotted running on Android Nougat on GeekBench. The latest Android Nougat update for Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is available in Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, and Spain. The update will be rolled out via OTA. Once the update hits the device, users will get the notification for the same. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings -> About -> System Update -> Check for Update. Download the update and install it. Make sure you have enough battery, and stable Wi-Fi connection for an easy update.
As a result of the update, users will see new feature with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat roll-out. These include multi-window app support, power-saving ‘Doze’ feature, and background system updates among others. Another interesting feature that comes with the update is instant apps, which allows users to begin using or testing an app within Google Play Store before actually downloading the app. Additionally, the update will also help users save battery, and consume less memory.
