Samsung announced its ultra-slim Galaxy Tab S2 tablet earlier this year. Today, the company has launched the tablet in India. The Galaxy Tab S2 is presently one of the slimmest tablets in the world, with a thickness of only 5.6mm. With this waistline, it is also slimmer than the Apple iPad Air 2. It weighs only 392 grams as well. The tablet comes with 4G LTE support, and also boasts a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button. As for specifications, the tablet features a QXGA (2048×1536 pixels) Super AMOLED display, and is powered by an Exynos 5433 octa-core processor paired with Mali T760MP6 GPU, and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. Also on offer is 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Samsung has also bundled 100GB OneDrive storage for a period of two years
The tablet also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5,870mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Apart from pricing the Galaxy Tab S2 at Rs 39,400, Samsung is also offering a few more benefits to buyers. Buyers with Airtel subscription will get 2GB of 4G data per month free for a period of two months. Furthermore, Samsung is also bundling ‘gifts’ worth more than Rs 31,000, which includes a bunch of paid apps that have been pre-loaded on the tablet.
