Spotted on HTML5Test, the purported tablet is listed with a screen aspect ratio of 16:10. According to GSMArena, this is an odd ratio considering the older Galaxy Tab S3 used the 4:3 aspect ratio. In the browser benchmark test, the tablet is listed with a screen resolution of 800×1280 pixels, while the browser achieves a score of 520 out of 555. Based on the past leaks on GFXBench, the Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to be equipped with a 10.5-inch display with 2560 1600 pixel resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
It is further likely to pack a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. With a SIM card slot for 4G connectivity, the tablet is also expected to come with Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities. On the software front, the tablet is likely to run Android 8.0 Oreo.In comparison, the Galaxy Tab S3, released last year, packed a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display running at a resolution of 2048 1536 pixels, with 4:3 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC was paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The Galaxy Tab S3 was further equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Keeping things ticking was a 6,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. Other features included Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Samsung is hosting its Unpacked event on February 25 at MWC 2018, where the two flagship smartphones will make their appearance. Based on reports, the company is likely to showcase the smartphones in AR, allowing attendees to experience the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ virtually from all angles. The smartphones are likely to be the first duo to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in the US, while other regions will get Samsung s Exynos 9810 SoC. Recent benchmark tests indicated that the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ will be the fastest smartphones in the Android domain when they go on sale next month.
