The Galaxy View tablet that Samsung teased at IFA 2015 is now official. The USP of this tablet is its massive 18.4-inch full HD (1080p) display and a unique handle at the back for easily carrying it along. Samsung says, the Galaxy View is built to offer users with a great multimedia experience.
As we’ve seen in the leaks, the front panel lacks a physical home button and have on-screen buttons instead. The tablet also comes with a kickstand for placing it on table. Focused on entertainment, the Galaxy View looks like Samsung’s attempt to bridge the gap between a regular tablet and a 22-inch LED TV.
Samsung Galaxy View specifications and features: It flaunts a massive 18.4-inch full HD (1080p) display which translates into a pixel density of 123ppi. At the heart of the Galaxy View runs Samsung’s Exynos 7580 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and it is paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet will be available in 32GB and 64GB internal storage options along with a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB.
The tablet comes equipped with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and for video calling. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS and GLONASS. The tablet comes with a 5,700mAh battery, which Samsung claims is good enough to last for eight and a half hours of video playback. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, wrapped with Samsung’s Media UX skin running on top.

Samsung hasn’t officially revealed anything about the pricing and availability yet, but based on the Adorama listing the 32GB Wi-Fi variant is listed for $599, which translates to Rs 39,000 approximately. A 4G LTE variant of the tablet will also be available with a nano-SIM card slot.
