Smartphone maker and electronics giant Samsung has not revealed any details about its Android 9 Pie update for its current devices in the market. In fact, the company has continued to launch new devices in the market with Android 8.0 Oreo months after Google launched Android 9 Pie. For the people who may not have followed Android updates, Pie is the latest version of the latest version of its in-house mobile operating system, Android. The company launched the version back in August of this year after months of testing. However, two months after the launch of the new operating system, Pie is yet to show up in the monthly Android distribution chart. The likely reason for the absence of Pie on distribution chart is because of the delay by smartphone makers in issuing updates to the current devices available in the market. This includes the global smartphone leader Samsung that has not rolled out the Android 9 Pie-based update for any of its devices in the market. The interesting part about the entire situation is that the company just released its latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A7 in India with Android 8.0 Oreo.
