It may be primarily known for its hugely-popular Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line-ups of flagship smartphones, but Samsung makes a diverse array of electronic products, including everything from refrigerators to laptops.
The chaebol has announced Notebook 9 Pen (2019), the newest version of its convertible laptop. The hybrid notebook PC, which comes in 13.3-inch and 15-inch screen sizes, will most likely be showcased at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. A proper release is expected to follow shortly after.
As the name suggests, arguably the biggest new feature of Samsung Notebook 9 Pen (2019) is its improved support for S-Pen, the stylus that the company s Galaxy Note series of phablets is famous for. Samsung is also offering multiple user-replaceable tips for the S-Pen, which docks into a slot located on the front-facing edge of the laptop s lower half.
Talking about hardware, both variants (13.3-inch and 15-inch) of the Notebook 9 Pen (2019) come with Intel s eighth-generation Core i7 processors, and Full-HD resolution panels. They also have Nvidia s GeForce MX 150 GPU (reportedly only available on the bigger variant), as well as SSD storage. Other features include high-definition IR camera, facial and fingerprint recognition support, and integrated high-speed Wi-Fi. Talking about I/O, the device includes Thunderbolt 3, and USB Type-C, among others.
