Samsung has slashed the prices of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S5, along with its LTE variant again. The two smartphones are now available for Rs 34,900 and Rs 36,900 respectively on Samsung’s official e-store, first spotted by NDTV. Earlier in the year, Samsung had slashed the prices of the devices to Rs 36,125 for the Galaxy S5 and Rs 40,300 for the LTE variant and now it has further slashed them by Rs 1,225 and Rs 3,400 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S5 went on sale in India at Rs 51,500 in April. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S5-LTE variant went on sale at Rs 53,448 in July. If we compare this second price slash with the original launch price, we can see a huge decline of Rs 16,600 on both the Galaxy S5 and the LTE variant in just seven months.

Samsung is not just under pressure from Apple but also new Chinese players like Xiaomi and Lenovo, both of which have taken an aggressive pricing strategy for India. Even HTC recently has started proving smartphones aggressively, like the One E8, which was launched at Rs 34,900.
