Samsung set to launch Galaxy Tab S4, ahead of the launch of Galaxy Note 9

According to new rumors, Samsung wants to use the Galaxy Tab S4 event to tease the upcoming smartphone launch.

According to the previous rumors about the latest tablet that Samsung is about to add to its lineup, Galaxy Tab S4 was set to launch alongside the newest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9. We have seen renders of the Galaxy Tab S4 in the previous rumors, but now according to a new report, the South Korean giant could launch the tablet before the flagship smartphone.

According to the report, AndroidHeadlines has been tipped by an insider in the company of the plans to launch the Tab S4 before the Note 9. A high profile exclusive launch has been scheduled by the company to launch the Galaxy Tab S4. The company seems to have set the August 9 ‘Unpacked’ event exclusively for the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

Besides this, a recent report from TechRadar goes on to suggest that the company will be using the Galaxy Tab S4 event to tease the launch of the Galaxy Note 9.

According to a video posted by Slashleaks, the Galaxy Tab S4 will be made available in both White and Black color variants. The tablet is likely to sport a metal body and glass finish. The video suggests that Samsung might be ditching the home button on the front to go with on-screen navigational keys. Though this gives the device more screen space, the bezels on the tablet still look quite chunky.

The video doesn’t happen to reveal any pricing or specifications of the tablet, though previous rumors have suggested that the device might flaunt a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. While on the inside, it is said likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.

The video suggests that the Galaxy Tab S4 will come with a single camera on the back, which rumors suggest to have a 13-megapixel sensor along with an 8-megapixel camera upfront. The tablet is rumored to be backed by a massive 7,300mAh battery.
