Samsung is expanding its UHD TV range and introducing Concert Series alongside the launch of 2018 QLED TVs in India. Samsung is expanding the lineup to include 16 models compared to previously offered 10 models in the UHD lineup. With the 2018 UHD TV lineup, Samsung is also bringing improved color reproduction and support for superior high dynamic range. The UHD TVs also come with One Remote Control, Smart Hub and Smart Convergence for easy pairing with your smartphone. One of the new features being introduced this year is called 2-way Bluetooth support which allows you stream the audio from TV on your smartphone or vice-versa. This means you can simply use the UHD TV as speaker for your smartphone audio.
The entry-level UHD TV series start with the 7100 series followed by 7470, 8000 and finally The Frame. The new UHD TV range announced today will be available at a starting price of Rs 64,900.
Samsung Concert Series Price and Features
Samsung has also introduced the Concert Series in the form of Smart Concert and Joy Concert televisions in India. The company says the Concert Series has been designed locally at company’s R&D facility in Bengaluru with Indian consumers in mind.
As the name implies, the Concert series is all about its audio prowess. The Smart Concert and Joy Concert TVs will be equipped with four 10W speakers for a surround sound experience. Most televisions in this segment offer two 10W speakers but Samsung is offering two speakers at the top and two at the bottom with the audio channeled towards the viewer for a cinematic experience.

In comparison with last year’s Smart and Joy series, the audio output on Concert Series has more bass and there is detail and depth that most traditional TVs lack in the market. The Concert Series also comes with 2-way Bluetooth audio allowing users to pair their smartphones or speakers to the TV. It also comes with access to Live TV and other video content via apps such as Jio Cinema, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Big Flix among others.
Samsung Smart Concert and Joy Concert TVs will be available in 32-inch, 43-inch and 49-inch screen sizes. The TVs will start at Rs 27,500 and will compete against Xiaomi‘s more affordable and feature-packed Mi TV 4A models.
