We have already come across leaked photos and specs that all but confirm the existence of Samsung’s Galaxy A8. Further confirmation comes in the form of a hands-on video that has been shared by French website NoWhereElse.
The video shows the Galaxy A8 from all possible angles, and is yet more proof that it will be the slimmest smartphone in Samsung’s lineup. It flaunts a thickness of only 5.9mm, and as far as design is concerned, it is a far cry from the other A-series smartphones. Differences include rounded corners a la Galaxy S6, and a metal frame.
From what we have heard of the specifications, the Galaxy A8 is expected to flaunt a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 386ppi, and feature a Snapdragon 615 chipset under the hood. The smartphone is also expected to feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and LTE connectivity. On the software front, it will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
There is still no word on when Samsung plans on launching the Galaxy A8. In the meantime you can watch the hands-on video below.
