We reported earlier that Samsung is set to launch its Tizen-based Samsung Z1 smartphone in India on January 18. But before that could happen, Manish Khatri of Mahesh Telecom, has leaked the full spec sheet along with images of the device on Twitter, leaving very little for imagination. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Samsung Z1 4-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixel resolution. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. On the camera front, the Samsung Z1 has a 3-megapixel rear camera with a 0.3-megapixel front camera with flash. The device has 1,500mAh battery and runs on Tizen 2.3 OS. Khatri also revealed that Samsung has tied-up with Reliance and Aircel to give free 500MB of 3G data from both the networks at free of cost for six months. There is no word on the pricing yet, but the device is reported to be priced below Rs 6,000. The device comes with features like offline web, offline maps, ultra power saving mode, auto selfie mode and options for low light photography.
The company is also expected to offer localised content including music, videos with its Club Samsung 2.0 program to lure in Indian users. The Rs 6,000 price-tag will see the Samsung Z1 compete against Android One handsets.
