According to Samsung, Plume s software platform utilises Artificial Intelligence (AI) to distribute bandwidth among the devices connected to the mesh routers. This is claimed to result in overall better Wi-Fi coverage throughout the entire mesh network. The mesh router system also incorporates Samsung s SmartThings Hub platform, which can be used to easily configure third-party IoT (Internet of Things) devices spread across the entire area covered by the mesh network.

Samsung s SmartThings mesh Wi-Fi routers are pitted against competing products from brands such as eero, Luma, and Google.

Commenting on the launch, Fahri Diner, co-founder and CEO, Plume, said, Integrating our adaptive home Wi-Fi technology and a rich set of consumer features into SmartThings large, open ecosystem truly elevates the smart home experience. Samsung gives you myriad devices to consume content and connect, and Plume ensures that your Wi-Fi network delivers a superior user experience to all of those devices.
