Sennheiser has launched a new pair of Bluetooth-powered wireless headphones in India called the Sennheiser CX Sport. The headset is priced at Rs 9,990, and will be available for pre-booking from June 1 onwards. The headphones will go on sale on June 15, and are wireless in-ear headphones. Unlike the truly-wireless options that we’ve been seeing of late, the CX Sport has a connecting wire between the left and right earbuds.
The headphones will be available for pre-booking on Sennheiser India’s official site, shop.sennheiserindia.com. The design of the headphones suggests that the product will be targeted at fitness users. The headset features AptX, Bluetooth 4.2 and has a frequency response range of 17-21,000Hz. During the pre-booking period, Sennheiser will be giving away an additional pair of headphones worth Rs 3,990 for free.
The headphones feature the ear-find design for a secure fit, which helps keep the headphones in place during activities such as jogging and exercise. The headset comes with four ear-tips of different sizes, three ear-fins of different sizes, a storage pouch and a charging cable. The headset has a total claimed battery life of six hours, and ten minutes of charging can deliver an hour of use. A full charge take an hour and a half.

Sennheiser also has a few more affordable options in the same headphone range, and the CX Sport will be the most expensive of the fitness-centric headphones. However, the Sennheiser CX Sport might seem a bit expensive and dated, considering that truly-wireless headphones are gaining momentum. The headset will face particularly tough competition from the JBL Free truly wireless headphones, which were launched last month at Rs. 9,999.
