Seven Motorola devices have received Wi-Fi certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance. All the seven model numbers begin with XT and are expected to be budget Motorola smartphones. The devices are: XT1770, XT1772, XT1773, XT1724, XT1725, XT1726 and XT1721. Most likely the smartphones will launch under the Moto E and Moto C series. With the phones passing Wi-Fi certification, the launch cannot be too far off, though Motorola might release the devices one at a time instead of all seven in one go.
There are certain similarities between all the seven models in terms of the processor. All seven use MediaTek MT6737 chipset. As some of the device model numbers have leaked previously, we know certain details. In the case of the others, little else is known in terms of features or specifications. One of the devices is believed to Motorola Moto E4. The device will be a budget phone and come with average specifications. As per previous details, Moto E4 will feature a 5-inch HD display (720p), 16GB internal storage with 2GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear end camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with a 2800mAh battery.
XT1773 is known to be the Motorola Moto E4 Plus, which will be Lenovo owned Motorola’s battery intensive smartphone. The device is said to come with a 5000mAh battery. The phone has already received FCC certification. Nothing much is known regarding the specifications though they are expected to be keeping in line with Motorola Moto E4. This is the first time Motorola is experimenting with a battery-intensive device and with Asus ZenFone 4 Max launching in the coming weeks, both the smartphones will intensify the battery war.
Coming to the Moto C series phones, these are the entry-level Moto devices and extremely cheap models. The Motorola Moto C is believed to come with a 5-inch display with 5-inch display with FWVA resolution. There will be two internal memory variants – 8GB and 16GB though both will sport a meagre 1GB RAM. The rear end camera is 5-megapixel while a 2-megapixel shooter resides on the front. The battery is 2350mAh. The devices are expected to launch in India as early as next month.
The Moto C Plus, as the name suggests will be larger in size and will come with a better HD display (720p). It will also feature 2GB RAM and an upgraded 8-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front camera. Moto C Plus will also be a battery-focused device with a 4000mAh capacity juicer. The device will not be as powerful as Moto E4 Plus. ALSO READ: Motorola Moto C, Moto C Plus to launch in India next month; here’s everything you need to know
Nothing else is known regarding the other three Moto devices though they are expected to be a part of the same series. With the phones receiving their certification, the launch is not too far off though it is unclear if all the seven phones will launch in all the markets.
