The creator of popular game TwoDots and massively popular reader Instapaper owner BetaWorks released a new app this week called “Homescreen”. As the name of the app suggests, Homescreen enables users to share the list of apps they use on their iPhone with their friends and colleagues — or at least that’s what its description says. Using it is pretty easy too. Just grab the app from the App Store, take a screenshot of your home screen, come back to the app, give it access to check your photos. Once that’s done, it will ask for your permission to connect to your Twitter account, and have the ability to upload images. You will then be able to tweet your home screen’s still with your Twitter followers. Also Read - How to download Instagram videos on Android, iOS, PC
One of the handiest features of Homescreen is its ability to detect the apps you have on your home screen using its images recognition technology. You can also browse through the apps your friends have on their home screens on Homescreen’s website where it stores all the images. Apps have always been shared through word of mouth. People are more likely to try an app their friends have recommended than anyone else. Homescreen might be able to leverage on this idea. The app is still in its early stage, and it will be interesting to see if it manages to find space in your home screen.
