Back in April, Sirin Labs mentioned that it was working on the world’s first blockchain smartphone called Finney. Now, the Switzerland based company is all set to launch the smartphone, and by the look of it, the smartphone carries some high-end hardware.
That said, one of the key features of the smartphone is its “cold-storage” crypto wallet, which is designed to hold all your cryptocurrency. It’s said to be the most secure part of the phone, as it is placed separately from other parts of the hardware and can only work when activated. Further, the cold storage wallet is not connected to the internet, making it impossible for hackers to access the cryptocurrency stored in it.
Finney specifications and features
Finney will reportedly feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It will also feature the Adreno 630 GPU. The device is said to have a 6-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9, running full HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution. For photography, the phone comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera, with an aperture of f/1.8. At the front will be a 13-megapixel camera to click selfies.

Connectivity options include, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. All of this is said to be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. Finney is also said to feature a custom UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo and what Sirin Labs likes to call an “ultra-secure” fingerprint sensor.
Sirin Labs is already taking pre-orders for the phone on their website. The target price of the phone is set at $999 (approximately Rs 67,200), but there is a 10 percent discount on pre-order.
