Smartphones have gotten significantly powerful in the past few years and act as primary computing device for a lot of users. In a video uploaded by Gustave, one can see a Windows Phone device running four different operating systems – Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 10 IoT Core and Windows 10 Mobile. The video shows the developer switching from one operating system to another via the familiar Windows’ boot interface. The video also shows that basic functions work with each of these operating systems. It also suggests that the hardware is capable of handling multiple operating system at once.
Out of the four operating systems, three of them are desktop-class operating system. While having four operating system on your mobile does sound interesting and crazy at the same time, the real purpse of such a system is not known yet.
While Gustave has successfully managed to run desktop Windows experience on a smartphone, the question about mobile productivity remains unanswered. It does show that the Nokia-made Windows Phone is capable of hosting these operating systems. The experience might not be as fluid as it is on a desktop PC with mouse and a keyboard.
