OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition yesterday in India at a price of Rs 50,999. And while most of the changes are aesthetic and to do with the design, colors and McLaren logo at the back of the phone, there are a couple of key changes in the hardware as well, including 30W Warp Charge and a massive 10GB of RAM on the single variant of the device. And with this launch, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the first smartphone in India to boast 10GB of RAM. Whether 10GB of RAM can be considered ‘too much’ is a different story altogether, but you can’t deny that it sounds great on paper, and promises long term performance that is unlikely to fall short during the reasonable life of the smartphone. But OnePlus isn’t the first to bring a smartphone with 10GB of RAM globally. Here’s a look at all the smartphones with 10GB of RAM available today. OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition
We’ve already spoken about this, but we obviously need to start the list with this conversation starter. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the first device in India with 10GB of RAM, and its a step up over the 8GB of RAM previously offered on the top-end variants of OnePlus devices since the OnePlus 5. The smartphone also comes with 256GB of internal storage, which amply makes up for the lack of a storage expansion slot. The phone goes on sale in India at Rs 50,999.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
The latest flagship smartphone from Xiaomi offers up a lot of innovation, including a slider for the front dual-camera setup, an edge-to-edge screen with no notch and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. Although there are multiple variants with RAM and storage starting at 6GB/128GB, the top-end variant of this phone comes with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For now, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is only available in China.
Vivo NEX Dual Display
A rather impressive variant of the Vivo NEX that was launched earlier this year, this new device comes with a second screen at the back as its signature feature. That aside, it’s also a specifications beast with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 10GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The Vivo NEX Dual Display has just been announced, so availability in India is still a question mark.
Nubia Red Magic Mars
The most obvious utilization of more RAM is in smartphone gaming, considering that high-performance games such as PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends are the rage right now. The recently announced Nubia Red Magic Mars comes with up to 10GB of RAM and 256GB storage to back the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The phone is a recent announcement and has only just hit its fundraising targets, so its commercial launch is a while away.
Xiaomi Black Shark Helo
The Xiaomi Black Shark Helo is just a small upgrade over the Black Shark that was launched earlier this year. But it does have a major upgrade in the form of 10GB of RAM on the top-end variant, along with 256GB of internal storage. The device is currently considered the best gaming phone available, but is only available in Xiaomi’s home market of China for now.
… And the phone that could have had 10GB RAM – Oppo Find X
Initially announced and far ahead of the competition, the Oppo Find X was originally slated to come with 10GB of RAM. However, this top-end variant didn’t materialize, and the highest RAM yo can get on the Oppo Find X stays a rather ‘disappointing’ 8GB.
