Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro

While the latest Huawei flagship smartphones were revealed this month, the phones will be launched in India in November. Amazon India has already issued a teaser and ‘Notify Me’ page for the phones, and Huawei has confirmed that it will be bringing its new flagships to India in November. The high-end smartphones will be top-tier devices, priced at a premium.

The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro both feature triple-camera setups at the rear, although the configurations are different depending on the phone. The devices will succeed the Huawei P20 series in India, and are powered by the new HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, with up to 8GB of RAM and Leica optics on the camera setups. The price of the phones could be over Rs 60,000 in India, competing against the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Google Pixel 3 smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)

The next upper-midrange smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy A9 (2018) is set to launch in India on November 4, according to reports. Although it was unveiled earlier this month, the device will be available to buy in India in the coming weeks.

The first smartphone to feature a quad-camera setup, the Galaxy A9 (2018) will appeal to camera-centric buyers. The phone’s camera setup features a 24-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 10-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor of f/2.2 aperture. The device could be priced at around Rs 35,000 or so in India.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro

While premium smartphones may appear more glamorous, its the mid-range that tends to work best for Indian buyers. The next device in the Xiaomi Redmi Note range, the Note 6 Pro is set to launch in November in India, according to teasers and reports.

The device was unveiled in China recently, and features a dual-camera setup at both the front and rear. The phone also features a notched full-HD+ display, Android Oreo with MIUI, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. The phone will likely be launched at under Rs 20,000 in India.
