Snap has announced its Spectacles for the European markets, months after launching in the US. Priced at €149.99 (approximately Rs 11,000) the pair of spectacles can be ordered online from spectacles web store. The Spectacles will also be available via Snapbot vending machines installed by the company at locations such as Paris, London, Venice, Berlin, and Barcelona.
Snap released the Spectacles in the US in a similar fashion of installing funky vending machines. The pairs currently retail for around $129.9 in the States. The spectacles debuted in February 2016 in the US markets. Those in London interested to own a pair for themselves can head on to the London Eye in the city and spot the vending machine there. The Spectacles by Snap can be considered as a physical representation of the popular app Snapchat. The pair of glasses is fitted with wide-angle camera on its frame which allows users to shoot eye-level videos or ‘Snap’. These Snap clips can exceed up to 10-seconds time limit. When paired with your Snapchat app on the smartphone, one can directly share videos without having to transfer the video between the device first.
