Yes, Snapchat Lenses are cute, but you would think differently once see what the app offers for iPhone X users. Snapchat has rolled out some iPhone X-exclusive Lenses, which are way more realistic than usual.

Starting today, iPhone X users across the world will see some new TrueDepth-enabled Lenses in the carousel, with some more showing up periodically. They’re basically AR masks that follow your face around like the app’s many other Lenses, but due to the way TrueDepth works, they can look more realistic and just all around better.

Snap says that TrueDepth allows even the smallest details and 3D objects in the Lenses to follow your face’s movements, making masks look more realistic than ever. Those 3D objects can also reflect and react to ambient lighting, producing shadows and highlights that follow the contours of your face and the surroundings. Which means, Apple’s technology gives these Lenses more accurate depth detection, which consequently leads to better style elements.

Apple’s TrueDepth technology for the X’s selfie camera projects 30,000 infrared dots onto your face. It powers the device’s secure facial recognition system and makes it possible to turn your facial expressions into Animojis.

Snapchat has really been getting on the current trends to keep its market up. Earlier this week, Snapchat introduced a new Group Video Chat feature. It allows users to make video calls in a group, with up to 16 friends joining in at the same time.
